Bright Sky Environmental was founded on a single observation: the environmental permitting process was broken for the kinds of projects that matter most. Oil and gas producers, bitcoin mining operators, and hyperscale data center developers were losing months — sometimes years — to a permitting system designed for a different era.
We built Bright Sky to close that gap. Our team brings together deep regulatory expertise, engineering rigor, and operational urgency to deliver permits that protect your project schedule, not just your compliance record. We don't file paperwork. We engineer authorization strategies.
Since 2019, we have authorized over 665 industrial facilities across the most complex regulatory environments in North America — from ozone nonattainment zones in Texas to heavily regulated tribal zones of the Bakken (North Dakota).

The People Behind the Permits
Ms. Galloway has over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting services, specializing in Oil & Gas operations. Prior to founding Bright Sky she led the regional Oil & Gas practices at two leading environmental consultancies. She has published multiple academic and professional papers on air quality, policy, and industry trends.

Kimberly has over 15 years of experience as an environmental consultant for chemical, oil and gas, and refinery sites. She specializes in air dispersion modeling, air permitting, and regulatory compliance. Kimberly manages Bright Sky's AERMOD technical competency and also has experience implementing LDAR programs and performing leak inspections for oil and gas clients.

Nick joins Bright Sky with two decades of environmental consulting and air permitting expertise in the energy sector. He utilizes discipline and leadership skills obtained in both civilian and military sectors to bring analytical, organized, and detail-oriented air quality solutions to clients. He has managed the preparation of hundreds of air permits for upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas facilities, as well as other industries.

Symon has a chemical engineering background with four years of experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance across the oil & gas and chemical manufacturing sectors. He specializes in navigating complex permitting processes, managing day-to-day compliance operations, and environmental reporting under key federal programs including the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

A previous Bright Sky intern, Cailyn joined the firm in August 2024. She is an experienced science teacher and has launched right into Bright Sky's air permitting and compliance team.

Avery has two years of experience in Texas and New Mexico upstream oil and gas air permitting. At Bright Sky, Avery is developing air emissions profiles for oil and gas facilities and data centers.
